I grew up in the Texas Hill Country with my three younger brothers. We were lucky to have plenty of space to explore the outdoors and gain an appreciation for nature and animals. It was there that I first took a serious interest in art, and thanks to the encouragement of my family, I continued to nurture my creativity in college. I earned a Bachelor’s in Studio Art with a focus in Painting from Texas State University in San Marcos in 2007.
I thrive when I’m creating, and every time that art has occupied a major role in my life I’ve continued to grow and develop as an artist. I like for my art to capture the spirit of the animals and people that I paint, and I aim to inspire feelings of recognition and shared space with the subjects of my paintings. I hope that you enjoy my artwork and that you share it with others. I gladly welcome commissions, so if you’re interested in commissioning me for a painting or drawing, please send me a message though the “contact” tab of the website. |
